Module: Positioning, counseling attitude, self-care and setting boundaries

The German Anti-Discrimination Association (advd) invites you to the project “Community-based counseling” to a module with the topic “Positioning, advisory attitude, self-care and setting boundaries” .
The event is aimed at prospective independent consultants working in civil society counselling centres – preferably with a focus on racism and anti-racism. This involves a Reflection on one's own social position as a (possibly peer-to-peer) anti-racism consultant – in the team, in the organization and in the community context. The aim is power-critical examination of one's own advisory role and the limits of this activity in relation to the person seeking advice.
Target group:
The module is aimed at prospective independent consultants working in civil society counseling centers – preferably with a focus on racism and anti-racism.
Note:
This module is one of the compulsory modules as part of the Joint Certificate in Community-Based Anti-Racism Counseling (2023–2025)Therefore, consultantsinside the project partnersinside have priority in the selection.
