Presentation of the new civil society anti-discrimination situation report 2024 (advd)

With the Anti-Discrimination Situation Report 2024, the German Anti-Discrimination Association (advd) once again presents its analysis of case numbers from civil society counseling practice. This publication makes an important contribution to shedding light on discrimination cases in Germany. It shows what many people in Germany experience every day – and why civil society anti-discrimination work and effective protection against discrimination are more necessary than ever. Ferda Ataman, the Independent Federal Commissioner for Anti-Discrimination (tbc), will welcome us at the opening. Following this, we will present the key results of the analysis. Collegial case consultation with the ADS

Peer-to-peer case consultations take place regularly and are an online format offered by the Anti-Discrimination Counseling Unit of the German Anti-Discrimination Association in cooperation with the Counseling Department of the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency. The aim is to offer professional support and promote exchange. Legal questions regarding the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG), questions about specific cases, or challenging case scenarios from our own counseling practice are discussed. During the two-hour peer-to-peer case consultation, selected cases and questions are discussed with two counselors (one from the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency and one from a civil society organization).

Basic training documentation

This online workshop offers an introduction to the use of ADVD case documentation in AD counseling. The goal of the training is to understand the role, main principles, and fundamentals of applying ADVD case documentation in everyday counseling. The practical use of case documentation will be practiced using case studies and discussed together.
