Discrimination is a multifaceted concept that is understood in different ways. However, a shared understanding is essential for effective anti-discrimination work and collaborative partnerships with community-based counseling services. In this workshop, we will examine fundamental and current phenomena of discrimination.
In addition to reflecting on various dimensions of discrimination, we discuss intersectionality as an analytical approach in comparison to multiple discrimination and its relevance for counseling practice. A particular focus is on the recognizability of racism and its normalization in society.
Note:

Participation in this basic module is one of the mandatory prerequisites for obtaining the certificate for consultants in community-based anti-racism counseling.
