About the Department
The “Specialist Office for Anti-Discrimination Advice” is a project of the German Anti-Discrimination Association (advd). With the “Specialist Office for Anti-Discrimination Advice”, the advd aims to promote the nationwide networking of anti-discrimination advice centers (ADB) and to implement offers for the quality development of ADB and the qualification of anti-discrimination advisors (AD advisors). The project is run by respect*land, a funding program of the ADS.

Project management documentation and monitoringDr. Bartek Pytlas holds a doctorate in political science. As project manager, he is responsible for the documentation area and coordinates the strategic development and evaluation of case documentation in anti-discrimination counseling.

Project assistantDorothee Arndt supports the implementation and organization of the projects. She is also responsible for maintaining and updating digital project tools and the specialist department website.
Eva Maria Andrades
overall management of the specialist departmentEva Maria Andrades is a qualified lawyer and has been working in anti-discrimination consulting and work for over 10 years. As managing director of advd, she is responsible for overall strategic management.

Project assistantKarina Woll assists her colleagues in the advd office across multiple projects. She also oversees the planning of events and training sessions and handles a large portion of the back office tasks.

Consultant for structural developmentAs a consultant for structural development, Levin Husen supports the networking of actors in the field and accompanies the establishment of advice centers and networks in the northern and eastern German federal states.
Dr. Nannette Swed
Consultant for Digitalization and Product Owner Digital FileDr. Nannette Swed is responsible for the strategic development of digital solutions and, as Product Owner, heads the Digital File.

Communications OfficerSou-Yen Kim is responsible for press and public relations at advd and is responsible for all internal and external communication matters.
The Anti-Discrimination Association Germany
The German Anti-Discrimination Association is an umbrella organization of independent anti-discrimination advisory centers. Its current 38 member organizations from 13 federal states have many years of experience in anti-discrimination work. All member organizations pursue a horizontal or cross-characteristic approach and understand discrimination as an intersectional or multi-dimensional phenomenon.
